- Who can join: individuals and businesses we accept into the program. You confirm that accepting referral fees is permitted under any professional or employment rules that apply to you.
- Registering a referral: email affiliates@ledgerbrigade.com with the client’s name and business before the client signs an engagement with us. A referral counts only if the client is new to Ledger Brigade: not an existing or past client, and not in discussions with us in the previous 6 months.
- Referral fee: a percentage of the professional fees we actually collect from each referred client during the first 12 months from their first payment, excluding GST, government fees, stamp duty, pass-through costs and refunds.
- Tiers: 5% for 1 to 5 active referred clients, 8% for 6 to 10, and 12% for 11 or more. An “active” client is one who paid us in that month. A higher tier applies to all your active referred clients from the month you reach it, and is not applied to earlier months.
- When fees are earned: only after the referred client has paid us for two months.
- Payment: each fee becomes due 15 days after we receive the client’s payment, and is paid by bank transfer on the next scheduled payout date (the 2nd or 4th Saturday of the month). Fees on client payments received in another currency are converted at the rate we actually received.
- Tax: we deduct TDS as required under the Income-tax Act. If you are registered for GST, please send us a GST invoice for your fees.
- Refunds and reversals: if we refund any part of a client’s fees, the related referral fee is reversed or set off against future payouts.
- Conduct: you may describe our services accurately using our published information, but you may not make promises on our behalf, quote prices other than our published prices, or send unsolicited bulk messages in our name.
- Changes and ending the program: we may change or end the program with 30 days’ notice by email. Referral fees already earned, and fees for clients referred before the change, will be honoured on the terms in force when the client was referred.
- No partnership: joining the program does not make you our employee, agent or partner.
